Attached are some pictures from Aquapalooza at Hart Miller Island in Maryland last weekend, a great time for all. The raft up got bigger and bigger. I stopped counting at 50. I’m just sorry I could not stay longer into the evening.

wow that looks awesome !

I stopped by for a couple of hours but anchored on the outside and did not join the big raft-up (had to leave early). I thought MM did a pretty nice job on this one - plenty of food, goodies, etc.

One of my boys is on the inflatable in your picture - and for some reason not wearing his life jacket...

We got there with two other boats around 11:30, and we're not in your wide angle shot, so that must've been taken pretty early. We didn't join the big raft up despite MM's attempts to get us to do so. Haven't been to HMI in years, they have improved the place. And the hot dogs were good too!

I think MM did a great job as well, and a big thanks to the crew from Bear, Whitie Marsh, and Gunpowder Cove. (Hope I did not miss anyone)

Looks like it was a good time. We would have gone but didn't find out about it until a few days before. Did anybody go to the one hosted by Clark's landing?

Bill,
Is your captain a lab? Our Golden will be gone 2 years on 9/11. (The day now sucks for two reasons) and my wife is driving me crazy to get another dog. I'm still holding out but I'm not sure how much longer I can. Did you get him/her from a local breeder?

Greg,

She is my sister's Golden Lab, and she is 10 weeks old. We were getting her swimming as soon as we can. She did real well leaving the beach and coming into the water on her own.

She lost her Golden Retriever several months ago to cancer. She was only 7, so I know how you feel.

I beleive she got her from a local breeder, I can get more info and private message you if you like.

Bill:

Thanks for the pictures of the HMI Aquapalooza. Had I not made previous plans to meet friends on the Severn, I would have been there. I did motor by the area around 5:30p on the way back to show my friends the area and help explain what an "Aquapalooza" is. Seeing all those boats off the island reminded me of the good-old-days when gas was cheap and you could almost walk to "The Islands, Hon" from Middle River on boats.

Ours had cancer also. 9 1/2 years old. Don't bother asking her, I'm not ready yet so there's no sense in doing the research too early. Thanks for the offer though.

We attended the Clark's Landing event at Conquest Beach. I think abou 170 boats. This was our 2nd year for this one. Hot Dogs, Pork BarBQ and drinks. 2 live bands. The first band was a great Blues/Rock Band and the 2nd was a classic rock band. We leftabout 6 pm and they were still playing. Lots of free stuff, swim rings, coozies, tee shirts, Hats and event cups. It seemed to be a little more family oriented this year but there was still plenty of partying going on. I think most stayed the night, but we were unable to. It was a nice run up the Chester and an equally nice event put on by Clarks Landing.

Hey Tim, you passed about 15 feet off of my starboard side on your way out. I was one of the last boats anchored pretty far out your starboard as you left. We didn't get there until 3:30 or so. :smt089

My boat was the blue 260 with the blonde in the bikini layin' out on the bow. You may have seen her..

I didn't know it was you until you had already passed me. I told ya' I was gonna give you some green dots for the nice slow pass on the VHF when you weny by, but I don't think you heard it.

Michael-
I did have the radio on (ch. 16)... don't know how I missed you. I hope I really did give you a slow pass. I usually try to, unless there a good reason not to.

I'm more pissed that I missed the blonde!
