anyway i can determine who made existing boat canvas

hi in need of a new canvas, the canvas has been on since new,

looking for a replacement,

would a searay dealer automatic put one one from great lakes when boat new, or would they go down custom route from idependant canvas shop.

the boat only had one owner before me and he bought it new from a sea ray dealer,

the canvas is worn, washed out labels on it to determine where from, their has been a label on alongside sunbrella label, on the cabin carpet liner.

im just hoping my framework compatible with great lakes, and hoping it is great lakes.

i just cant see anything on it that says great lakes.

Since your boat is one of the models listed on their website I believe that means that Great Lakes made your original canvas.

Not necessarily. It certainly could be but back then Westland made most of the canvas on the boats that came out of the Phoenix, AZ plant. Both are no longer active, but Great Lakes I believe bought some of the patterns when Westland shut down.

When I called Great Lakes last week the operator asked if I wanted Great Lakes or Westland.

Did you speak with Great Lakes?

They looked up my boat by hull number and were able to tell me if their canvas would fit or not.

I knew they bought them out, but I didn't realize they were using their name still. They should be able to determine which canvas pattern was used by the HIN.

i emailed them give them sert number on boat yr and model.

now confused if it could be made by westland. as boat is a 95 model. Guy at great lakes never mentioned anything re westland.

mind you its taken a few emails to determine canvas, he was listing me a price for all pieces, was confused for a little.

going to email him picture of current canvas, as after converitible top, aft curtain slantback and side windows.

he mentioned a boot as well.

my concern is buy canvas then pay for shipping to uk then know good.
