Anything remove rust stains on vinyl windows?

Im looking at my canvas package and noticed the one side window that zips in has a heavy rusty marks on it from leaning on the bimimi bar "Not sure why it would leave rust like that being stainless but its there" I was wondering if there is any product or trick to removing this stain from the clear plastic window without harming the window itself?

That isn't rust. The vinyl is burned where it has layed on the stainless bow. You may be able to save it by polishing with a plastic polish.

If and when you get the stains off purchase some "protec-o-clips". They snap on to the stainless and act as a spacer to seperate the metal and eisenglas. West Marine and local canvas shops will have them.

The canvas shop I used to renew our zippers made up a long strip of fuzzy velcro. It wraps around the tube where it is in contact with the eisenglass.

ya how can you take those rust looking stains off?are they hard to come off???

They don't come off. The vinyl is bad and I haven't found anything that will touch it. The person I use for canvas work hasn't ever been able to remove it and advised me to replace.
