Anyone using Davis No-Spill Containers?

Inevitably I spill fuel out of my overflows when filling my tanks. I looked for a solution and this looked promising. Anyone have any experience with these?

Yes, they work, but you have to get the suction cup stuck tight.

If you use it make sure you take the screw top off, the air coming out of the tank needs to escape otherwise the tank will not fill. I have used the No-Spill container and it works well. The suction cups will fail after a while so they have to be watched.

They need to make something like this for those of us with integrated fillers/vents. Even not over filling it still manages to spray a little when I stop it...

.....previous owner installed them on my boat and they work like a champ. Fuel hose shuts off just like on the car.....zero spill from the vent...

I have used the Davis No Spill and they do work. I have also had the suction cups fail and the whole thing fall in the water - what a mess.

Dom's way is better. Anyone who was insightful enough the install those things must be very, very smart - and good looking too! ;-)

Shouldn't those 380 Dancer fuel lines have double hose clamps O Great One?

Anyone familiar with "#1" in this link? It seems to do the same thing, but is about 1/5 the price. Either way, I may be interested in putting together a group order for one or the other if there's enough people interested. Personally, I'd like to buy the cheaper one - as long as it isn't "cheap", you know? I could always order one of each from my suppliers to take a look at them.

These are just vent lines.....btw...you'd have to ask the installer....the good lookin' smartass with the 58 footer.....:grin:

I need to find out some more about these. I wonder if they might interfere with fuel flow and cause issues. I am referring to vented versus not vented gas flow issues like what happens when the wrong type of gas cap is used as a replacement cap.

Any mechanics here who might have some input
