Our ramp routine consists of me backing the boat and trailer most of the way into the water, getting into the boat, and my wifes backs the boat down when i have the engine started until it floats off. She parks the tow vehicle and trailer and I pick her up at the dock. I was looking at one of these to make it easier to step from the front of the trailer into the boat instead of climbing onto the spare tire and shimmying up the bow of the boat. This seems like a good idea, but was looking to see if anyone has used one and what they thought of it.
