Was wondering if any one in the Panama City area has been to Crooked Island since Hurricane Michael. Saw the images where a lot of the sand dunes were gone. Not sure on the depths after the hurricane.

No sir, haven't been and wasn't going until I had the chance to run over on a smaller boat to check it out, or till I spoke with someone that had been out there. everyone is so scattered around right now.Sorry, I was at Crooked Island when you posted this and forgot to get back to it.
The cut into Crooked Island Sound has changed dramatically from the approach to the safe area to turn behind the cut. The "new" cut is deep (15 ft minimum depth )and very easy to see. The beach area we've all used for years was to the west of the cut. That area has washed into the sound and no longer exists. You can turn to stbd and find easy anchoring behind the new beach that the hurricane formed.
I realize this is several weeks old but if you haven't found your way in, I have a route traced on a google maps screen capture I can email you.
Just respond via PM with the email address you want me to send it to.
