anyone know where to get hatches for a 1986 268 weekender?

I need a new window hatch on the bow deack. It's the big one right behind the anchor locker

You should be able to get one based strictly on the opening size. I would think just about any online store would have something. If you run into problems, stop by the store and I'll see if I can match you up with something.

Agree with Dennis. You may have to modify the opening a little. Make sure you seal the opening, so you don't get any water intrusion in your fill material.

Should take about 2 hours or so.

yeah but mine seems odd sized it's 17 3/4" wide by 18 1/2 long

Where are you taking those measurements from?

As Tom said, you can always cut the hole bigger. The trim that comes with the hatch will cover up any small mistake.

Yeah, that is sort of an oddball size.

I say get yourself a sharp knife for the headliner, a good saw for the 'glass and go to town. Don't look back:grin:

Getting the whole set-up right from Sea Ray is bit pricey. But, ain't it all about the end product?:grin: I thought boaters never worried about money...:smt101

However, you can get the roller shade/screen as a unit through the aftermarket that mounts to the underside of the deck. These can easily be found for around $125 and can be added at anytime.

Bowmar and Taylor are probably the two most popular hatches, that I know about, anyways. Bowmar is used as OEM on Sea Rays. I couldn't say about that particular model.

If you want, I can see what price I can get it for you at. Since I'm only about 20 minutes from you, I can even order it in and you can take a look at it. If you don't like it, no problem - my main supplier has no return fees. It's up to you - I'm not pushing - just offering help if I can.

Try looking at Taylor Made Catalog, they have a hatch which is 18X18, this is the same size hatch that came with my 1989 268DA, I believe their stock # is 51009.
