Anyone know what this key is for?

Our boat came with this key on the main keychain received from previous owners. Anyone ever seen one of these?

Looks like a key to change the combo on a padlock.
I have one on my boat's key chain and it is for the dingies padlock.
:)
 
It also may be the key to unlock the "slam latch" or "pull" handles on the cockpit cabinets or the "trunk" if they have a little hole on them.

thanks all for the responses. we heard this too and looked closely at our latches in the cockpit. there is a hole inside them but the key doesnt appear to fit at all ... too big. if anyone can describe how their key works on the latch in detail that would be great. thanks!
