Looking to "class up" the 1994 290DA cabin...or at least fill an open spot. I have a 8" tall, 25" wide, 10-12" deep shelf area above the microwave with an oval window + curtain that does nothing but collect crap. I'd like to put a mini liquor rack in there, putting in the smaller liquor bottles (under 8" obviously).
I'm thinking a couple of pieces of 1/2" oak, 25" x 10", parallel to each other separated on the corners by vertical dowels (maybe 1 - 1.5" high). Top flat piece would have holes routed in it to fit the bottles.
Has anyone done this or seen anything similar? My concern is not only looks, but stability - I'd hate to have bottles bouncing around during the drive, but also don't want it to be a pain to try to get them out.
