Anyone go to Boston Boat Show?

I went Monday @ noon and it was pretty dead, seems like their were more boats than last year.

I went Saturday. Was crowded. The floor is fuller than last year. No more food stations amongst the boats, they were all pushed upstairs to the food court.

No SR Sedan Bridge. Only DAs. The Flagship was a 470 DA. Admiral and I loved it!!!

I'm going either Friday night or Saturday afternoon before heading home to NY. I'm spending so much time in MA for work I'm contemplating moving the boat to Russo's for part of the summer.

Went Sat. Was not impressed. However the 47 sundancer was pretty impressive! And all for the low low boat show price of $ 700,000.00 and change!

I went Saturday as well. I looked at the Sea Rays as well. Have to say I am impressed by the new versions less each year. I may go back this Saturday to buy some things and renew my Boatus membership.

I went yesterday, and will probably go again tomorrow. Like Henry, I am less impressed with the fit and finish of most of the new boats (all brands).

West Marine always has some good sales though...boat hooks for $9.99, and Go-Anywhere seats for $39. I'll use those for bow pads.

What freebies were they giving out at the Sea Ray tent? This is the first year I have been 'invited' to the Sea Ray tent and was curious what you get. Maybe a hat??? :smt038

I went last Saturday. I felt the crowds were way down and the biggest thing was salespeople were not very "enthusiastic" at all. Most standing around with their arms folded. Paint, I too was very impressed with the Cruisers. Seemed like very well put together, ameneties, and prices. I would like to live with the 42 for a summer! Will I get in trouble for saying that here??:)

Went Saturday. Did get a pretzel and Coke on the floor with the boats. Sea Ray had my boat at a boat show special price just over $300,000. The Cruisers 48 Cantius did not live up to the reviews. It seemed very cheaply made and every line was drawn with a ruler and protractor. The angle theme was overdone. I was impressed with the 341 Meridian. Not quite up to the quality level of a Sea Ray, but a great value.

Did anyone notice that there seemed to be fewer deals on stuff than last year? The Sea Ray owners club was especially stingy this year.

Henry

Henry, at least they showed up to the Boston show. They didn't even bother to come to the NY show this year:smt089 ....maybe I'll get my free stuff Saturday

I went yesterday early afternoon and it was almost empty. The good point was the ability to look at a lot of boats in a short period of time. I agree the Sea Ray tent was pretty weak and the hat color does not speak well of their design talents. I assume everyone got the slick yellow color? But it fits with the mid_ 80's mauve interiors. Like others I did not see anything that would make me sell to buy new. Finally where did all the pontoon boats come from seemed like a quarter of the show?

every time you enter the sea ray display, and they ask you where you boat, so they can give you the right color sticker to show which dealer to talk to, i say buzzards bay, and they always say "wow your brave"!
