That can be repaired by a mobile auto upholstery company.Go to the used car manager at any dealership and get the name of his"guy".

Had a bench seat in the cockpit. Covering had a similar wear area - actually looked a bit worse.

Canvas shop (who also does upholstery) matched the strip, took it apart and fixed.

Would have to look up the cost, but remember it was not that expensive. I was surprised.

All is not lost, it can be fixed when your ready.

Total replacement - absolutely not. Probably a $50-ish job for a good vinyl guy (at least in our area), depending on how far he/she has to travel. No rush to get it done, either - it won't get worse on it's own.

You can buy the kits to do those repairs yourself. I've done several. Its not really too hard.

I don't know exactly where you're located but if you're in the area of sandusky Ohio call Kirk at Fibernew! Had him do some work for me and wow. I was going to post but I forgot to take before pictures. Great guy, priced right, and fast. If not close to Kirk look for a Fibernew person in your area.

I get most of my supplies through finishline in washington state.I actually do these repairs along with windshield repairs and paintless dent removeal.I am also the A tech at a gm dealership bodyshop.Fiberenew usually does good work and they are fair priced and fast.
