Owner's manual says it can be done and gives part numbers of the stuff you need but it's all flimsy stuff.
Anyone ever change Zeus POD Gear Lube with boat in water?

The dealer told me that it can only be done while the boat is out of the water. If you find out otherwise I'd love to know.

Dealer is wrong. It's in the user's manual, plus I watched it being done once, but at that time didn't have the foresight to take the inventory of the tools he used...

I don't know how you could do a complete service with the boat in the water........partially, maybe, but you definitely couldn't grease the prop splines and retorque the prop nuts or inspect and check the drive and check the skeg shear pins with the boat in the water.
