Anyone Buying a Boat in this Mess

Nina is the worst broker I have ever worked with. She was OK when buying a boat but never use her to sell a boat. And that's not just my assessment. Many others in the Delta share that sentiment.

Interesting input. I had a great experience buying through her. Nonetheless, I'll keep your perspective in mind if I ever (never) decide to sell.

Just joined the site....my first post. Was reading this thread and had to chime in.

We just bought our 98 Sundancer 450 a couple months ago, we are on R dock at Willow Berm (love Willow Berm!). Nina was our broker, she is an incredible person and very knowledgeable, and with the bonus of that British accent! Peter is awesome too, as is the whole Delta sales team. So glad to see there are others on this site close by...

Shoyrtt, I think we may have looked at the boat you bought. Was it over at Ox Bow, if so it’s a beautiful boat and almost had us change directions in the middle of our escrow.
Yes the “Lone Star” was in Ox Bow when I first looked at her. Apparently she has been in the Delta about 16 years, brought up from San Diego by a physician and his bide who renamed her to honor their Texas roots. The boat was sold about 5 years ago to a couple from Lodi who used her for fishing and wine cruising on the Delta. Both of the surveyors said she was in incredible condition and my wife and I really love the layout of these 450EBs so we were sold. We are going up there this weekend to spend some more time getting to know our new addition to the family. Maybe we will see you there.

I’m directly across from you, hope to be there this weekend. Are you planning to cruise her back down to San Diego?

The plan is to leave early on the 14th. We have a slip at Shoreline Marina in Long Beach.

While in Long Beach there are 2 dockside restaurants in Alamitos Bay owned by a very good friend of mine. Schooner or Later and Tantalum both have casual dock space available It's a bit tight at Schooner but Tantalum is in the Marina Pacifica Mall and there is usually plenty of dock space for dinner.

I bought 2 boats through her and sold 2. Buying she was OK. Selling the first one was easy. If you would like more info send me a PM and I'll share. I will say that Peter has 4 times the listings that she does. Its not because of Peter's sparkling personality.
