Has anyone ever attended one of the auctions? My tv spends its share of time on the Speed Channel...last night they sold a Mustang Daytona pace car for $300,000 as part of a kids charity auction. If nothing else, it looks like it would be one hell of a car show to attend....may add this to my bucket list...I'd probably have to attend the auction in a straight jacket with my mouth duct taped shut, especially if they had a late 60's SS Camero or Chevelle on stage.

I've been to it a couple of years. I think it runs for about 4 days, and you can watch the auction or run around and get a close look at all the cars. It's pretty pricey to get in, but it's worth doing once or twice.

I've been to a few. It is really cool to hear and see the cars in person.

No, but a guy who worked for the company, and got carried away restoring an AAR Cuda sold it at Barrett Jackson a couple of years ago. He got the timing right.

He had to sell it. It was too nice to drive and he had too much money tied up on the car. Oh! And his wife found his shoebox full of restoration receipts.

What is the due diligence procecss before the gavel drops? I presume you have to post some type of flash cash before you get to touch and feel. A test drive is probably out of the question. Its probably all on their website....

I spent the last 10 years before starting my biz working for Featherlite Luxury Coaches here in Fl. I got paid to go a few years in a row in AZ (as well as Sturgis:thumbsup:). We held a "rally" for our coach owners and I was there for "support"...not beer drinking...lol! I love the auction and the "scenery"....the cars aren't that bad either:wow:
