Anybody who has used Great Lakes canvas...

Last summer my Gull Sweep ripped my bimini during noreaster....was wondering, when you order from Great Lakes ,do you need to buy the whole set up,frame and all ? Or can you just buy the canvas that you need to replace and attach it yourself ? In my case I would need the whole front bimini w/zippers,not the windows or frame . So,bottom line, can i just buy the canvas ?? thanx

you can ONLY buy the canvas - no frames available - give them a call - nice people, and they always have a sale - if there is not one advertised now, just ask - they will give you a discount

Thanx for the quick responce............two more questions,does it come w/the zippers attached ,and where would I get the tool to take the frame apart ???

you should not need any tools to take the frame apart - the zippers come installed - if there are any snaps on the piece in question I would get their snap tool too - or borrow one (don't try to make do with a cheap one)

Just wondering why no call was made to GLC first. They would have answered all your questions via phone or e-mail at one time. They are good people to deal with for sure.
