Just curious, anybody on here go out on Lake Waullenpaupack? For those reading this not knowing where that is, it's in Pike Co. PA. Northeast side of the state.

I grew up in Milford/Dingmans Ferry PA but i never got to boat on Lake Wallenpaupack. Its a nice size lake with lots of good fishing and boating. Its a beautiful and serene area up there. There are lots of vacation and boat rentals up there too.

I went camping up at Ledgedale Recreation back in the 80's and towed the boat with us. I also have a friend who lives up there with a 22' Donzi and a MasterCraft ski boat. I enjoyed the Lake except when we got stopped by the PA fish and game for standing up while running the boat.[14' alum. center console]. Matt.

My parents had a summer home at Wallenpaupack Lake Estates. I learned how to waterski there and have many fond memories of time on the lake. Sometimes I think my kids would prefer a ski boat on the lake to what they're "forced" to travel on the water in now.

We lived north of Allentown for a couple of years and boated on the lake a number of times. If you are trailering it, it is a good day lake...nice ramp facility, a couple of restaurants to pull up to and a couple of smaller marinas... There are a few islands you can anchor off of....rocky stony beaches...down at the opposite end when you just start into the river there is a good anchoring spot to swim, hang out. It gets pretty busy on weekends. Most of the time we went to Blue Marsh just outside of Reading it was alot closer for us. But the family ended up prefering the Northern part of the Cheseapeake that is where we spent most of our time...leaving the boat on a trailer down there and just commuting

I practacly grew up on that lake. Looking foward to going up there this year with my boat. July 4th 2008 I took my RV to Willsonville and got My DAd a boat slip for the weekend. It was cool. My sons are the 4 generation on that lake since the 60s. Mom and dad had their honeymoon there at Willsonville too. When I was 10 ish I cought a 18 1/2" Striped bass in the cove between Cove Haven and Caffrey.
My sister Caught a 17 1/2" Small mouth Bass off of Eppley Island about 25 yards from the shoal. Both fish are mounted. We still have them.

Your just the person I wanted to speak to

My wife and I spoke with some people who have a home in Wallenpaupack and they are in love with the area. I looked up a local realtor in the area and he was going to send us some brochures. Right now we are looking for some lake property to purchase and in a few years build my wife's dream log cabin. Any additional information you could give us would be appreciated.

we trailered up there this past fall for a day trip. Nice lake, very clean. I do prefer Lake Hopatcong in NJ, closer to home and more to do on the lake.

My parents have had a house up there in Tanglwood Lakes Estates for around 15 years. They are there 65% and in NYC 35% but they really prefer being up there. I've spent a fair amount of time on the lake on my first boat, their '82 CC Cavalier and on a PWC. Nice place to visit but not my cup of tea. A 13 mile lake gets old pretty quick and it's a very short season. The lake is beautiful, though, I will admit!

To a young and impresionable kid. It was heaven on earth, But this was more my family then the lake itself.
