Has anyone heard a status update on the dredging they were doing in Moriches, and if so, is it done? Any word on the depth of channel, do we still need to all but kiss the buoys? Is it the "north" channel towards Harts cove like the past 2 years or are they back to the original dogleg from years ago? Any updates appreciated, supposed to run to Westhampton next week. Figure if I hear nothing on here I will call SeaTow at end of week to hear their version.

Hey Russ, if you need to call Sea Tow, please post your findings. By the way thanks again for the help last weekend! Todd

Todd, no problem at all! I will post as soon as I hear something, have a call into a few people who I think will know as well.

OK, spoke to SeaTow today. Last years channel is the (only) way to go, it is still the only channel marked as of now, and the coordinates are the same. SeaTow does not beleive that the new channel (which is actually the dogleg channel from several years ago) will be marked until later this fall. Last years channel is "as passible" as last year. Only difference he said is that last year they encouraged not going all the way north to green 27, but this year he said that you can go to the green (gain 6" of water he said), and that red 18 and 20 are moved a little closer together and north of last year, and that you have to stick tight to those (keep them to your south). I am going through on July 2nd so I will keep everyone posted!
