Any tips on creating extra storage on a 240DA?

I see a lot of discussion of where to store fenders. So I thought I would add that I purchased the statinless steel fender racks from Taylor Made. They were not cheap, I think around $350 for the pair but they are invaluable. I bought the big fat 9' fenders from Taylor Made as well. It frees up a lot of room on the 240 because I believe in big fenders for boat protection and there is just no room to store them. You can see them mounted on the bow rails on my avatar pic.

I agree Todds bildge is just ridiculous. I think he gets down there with a tooth brush and polish just to piss us off. I cleaned mine with the simple green soak and it still is not that clean. I think the surface is a little rougher as well. Todd I think your boat came from an era of better craftmenship or at least someone was paying better attention that day.

I think the racks are handy for keeping them out of the way, but I'm not a big fan visually. Also, do they get in your field of vision?

Thanks Kurt
It didn't look that way when I bought it. No polish, just simple green and elbow grease. As I may have mentioned I like it clean and bone dry so I can see if I have any leaking or other issues. Plus when it's clean and dry it allows you to work in there without getting dirtty or dragging oil or whatever's in the bilge into the cockpit.

I agree they are not visually appealing but they are very functional for the big fenders. They do not obstruct my view but they do my wife.
