Any reason not to use Silicon hose for coolant side of engines?

I do like the silicone hose myself for automotive use, but there's always the insurance and/or liability issues if something were to happen to your boat and they could somehow make a connection to non-approved hardware. It's a long-shot, but the insurance companies are in the business of saving money for their stockholders.

I don't see anywhere where it is recommended to have hardwall except for wet exhaust. This would just be for coolant lines. I see a lot of boats have plain rubber hose in many applications. My heat exchanger on my water heater have rubber lines from factory. Is there anywhere stated that it has to be a certain hose for coolant lines for marine applications? That is what I am not finding. I want to make sure I am not overlooking it.

This stuff? More durable, better to work with. Looking to replace all the hoses on both my engines. Any reason I shouldn't use this?

I have been switching over to silicone hose on everything that is pressurized. They tend to last longer. Suction or non pressurized hose will need to have a properly sized stainless steel spring in them. When I say everything, that doesn't mean through hull to engine or the like, that is still wired exhaust hose, always.
