So today I was in a meeting with my boss. The supervisor of our shipping department comes barging in. He is frantic because one of the VP's ordered a few goods and wants them shipped. So we get the frantic story that the VP wants them shipped to Santa Fe New Mexico. When we asked is it a matter of freight charges? He replies "no we will be reimbursed". After a few more minutes of banter we finally drag out the issue The Vp gave specific orders that he handle the claim and he was unaware of how to file export papers.... We both sat there shocked and after a few minutes of dumb stares I stated that the package was going to New Mexico... He remarked that he knew that and I should stay out of it. My boss quietly got into his desk and pulled out an atlas. It took some explinaion but the supervisor now knows that New Mexico is part of the continental United States...

Guess I'm glad I passed Geography!

Any one else have some good guys win stories?

Trust me, he is not the only one. I have been asked before if I needed a green card to get across the Texas border.

Supervisor huh? Let's dismiss that fact that he is "geographically challenged", if he is the shipping supervisor he had better know how to ship out of country or at least know how to find out. And he votes!

Had a customer in my office yesterday mad as hell because six months ago we replaced the battery in his and we did not reset the date, month and time on the dash. The resaon he was mad is he never took his car in for inspection because the year read 2005 and now he is being fined I just had nothing to say

That's not bad - we have politicians in Wisconsin that don't know that Arizona does boarder Mexico and speak as such in public!

Well I did have boss complain that we opened up the high windows to let out the heat in summer and was concerned about letting bugs in. This as we were standing in the opening of 10 barn door that always stayed open for fresh air. I wonder if he's still in business?

What? When did this happen? New Mexico is now part of the U.S.?

Yes he votes scares the crap out of me... About a year ago he had one of his guys cut his hand pretty bad. He told the the other employees to becareful because of get this "micro orgasms and Patheeygens" *spelled how he said it.* I tassel with this guy about every other month and I have no idea how he is a supervisor... He has superiority complex for sure...

I just had an argument with my hairdresser who said she was left handed. I said " why do you use your right hand to hold the scissors" to which she replied " your looking at me in the mirror dumba#s". It was early this morning and I hadn't had my coffee ok.

A customer called who had just bought a used machine. All he knew was that it was a C$T loader but didn't have a serial or model number. He bought it because it looked like the right size for his job. When he asked me the question I first thought one of my field techs was setting me up for a good laugh. He wanted to know how many hours it took for the hour meter to click over one time. I asked him how long he had been running the machine and he replied "About 6 hours and it hadn't moved even one time."

Well I kept my composure and told him that it took about an hour to click over unless he had a minute counter at which he should see some movement in every 5 or 10 minutes depending on the gauge calibration.

He said he did think it was broken but wanted confirmation from a "factory guy". He thanked me then he hung up.

After some investigation I found out the guy was for real. That surprised me more than his question.
