Any Iowa boaters out there?

Just curious if there's any Iowa boaters out there. Obviously we're not enjoying the water right now (unless you like ice fishing) but if you're from Iowa speak up & tell us where you do you boating!

We live in SW Iowa & live about 10 minutes from Lake Icaria where we do our boating. Rathbun Lake & Sailorville Lakes are 1 to 2 hours East of us. We've been to them but haven't done any boating on them as of yet.

Hey Chris, we boat on Iowa's east coast. Our boat home port is Mississippi's pool 10 in Guttenberg. There are a few others from IA on here.

Another Iowagian here! We boat on Saylorville, but have been to Rathbun a couple of times.

Most of the decent destimations around here are Iowa. Buffalo, LeClaire, Princeton.

I do have two scows on the hard and drysail them at Lake Davenport SC.

We used to live in Rock Island, Illinois across from Davenport, Iowa on the Mississippi and boated on the big muddy and the Rock River. Also used to sail on Spirit Lake in northwest Iowa. Still Hawkeye fans.

SBW - How far north did you ever go on the Mississippi?

We spent a couple weeks in the Quad Cities when we took delivery of our 300...I always heard the Rock was full of stump fields so I stayed the hell out of there!

We stayed around the Quad Cities and did most of our boating on the Rock River near the Mississippi. I was a teen and we worried more about wing dams than stumps. Fortunately, never ran into either one.

I'm all for it!! We tie up with 4-6 cruisers all the time in millers! Look for us next year and be sure to stop by!! Pier Fun is the boats name
