A newbie to the site and just closing on a new boat (new to me) this Friday. Looking for "friends with boats" on the Chesapeake Bay that are interested in meeting up for dock bar get togethers, daytime & overnight raft-ups, poker runs, etc... on the bay this summer. If you're in the Upper, Middle, or Lower Chesapeake bay, message me or give me a shout right here in this thread.

Thanks !

Congratulations on the "new" boat. We boat on the Chesapeake, spend alot of time at Dobbin island. Maybe we'll see you out there. Good Luck and have a Great Season. Also welcome to CSR!

I guess I'm lower Bay....welcome to the site

The lower part of the Bay would be the "manly" part of the Chesapeake Bay as opposed to the upper end of the Bay, also known as the "sissy" part of the Bay among some that dwell on this forum.

Im on the Chesapeake bay around the Crisfield Md. and Tangier Va. area. Congrates on your new cruiser and welcome aboard.

Welcome to CSR.

We are on the Patuxent (Solomons Island), somewhere between the sissy and manly parts of the Bay. We have cruised as far north as Baltimore/Rock Hall and as far south as Norfolk. Plus many ports in between. There are many great places to visit and crabs to eat on the Bay.

Welcome and congrats... Middle Bay here. So what's that Computerman... just the "regular" part of the bay???

Congradulations and welcome to CSR and the Bay. Someone indicates I'm at the manly part of the bay but I can tell you you can get your ass handed to you in the most unexpected place. On water it can happen anywhere. Rockhall / Baltimore the furthest North we've been so far and we came up from Miami in 2008. Becareful, be safe and never let your guard down and we will be headed north sometime this summer.

I'm in the most sissy part possible as my marina is on the C&D Canal. Done are my "real manly" days of heading off 80 miles and fishing for 16 hours. Now I am looking forward to hanging with family and friends and pulling the kids around on tubes and teaching everyone how to waterski and wakeboard. We are always at one of three possible places, dockside, at the Chesapeake Inn or hanging on the Bohemia River. Might venture out and hit Lloyd's Creek one of these days.

Hey guys, new to Sea Ray, new to this site, have sailed on the Chesapeake for 25 years now thoroughly understanding the pleasure and comfort of power boating. We're based in Great oak Marina just down a bit from the Bohemia. I really need some help with this site, because i'd like to ask a technical question about engine access on my newly acquired 1996 400 express, but nor sure what is the best way to go about it.
