it has a 350 chevy in it with 730hrs. He's owned it 5yrs and only puts it in the lake 6-8 months a year then pulls it out. Changes motor/outdive oil with light mait. on it. He's had it out of the water this last yr for medical reasons. It comes with a tandem axle/braked trailer and he wants $9500 for it
all the plumbing/heating/a/c and electrical works. It has a cd changer, shor power, camper top 2 new batteries and a depth finder. My concernis the hours on the motor, I don't know how hours translates to miles like a car, other than over 500 seems high if not taken care of.

what do you think?

I know photos can be deceiving, everything looks great to me. Have you taken her out for a sea trial yet? The hours on the motor would not be a concern for me if proper maintenance was performed.

That is a great hull and boat. Very popular. Later re-badged the 270. I would prefer a 7.4L V8 in it but sea trial it and see how it does with 4 or 5 adults along. The hours are fine if the motor compression checks okay and runs strong. A quick check of boattrader reveals several '89 250s for 10k to 13.5k so it seems priced right. Just make sure the outdrive and motor are solid...that is where you can really get burned.

Covered slip, fresh water boat, pictures seem clean, with a trailer. You don't mention the drive but I'll defer to the above post. Im not sure I could live with a vacu flush, but you mentioned heat/air. You gotta love that.

so I went to see the boat this weekend. batteries were dead -_-... however we did jump start it with my car. It started up pretty quickly. it's that 5.7l with the thunderbolt ignition, I could hear them firing off. We ran it out of water for around 1/2hr with a hose hooked up to it. 60psi oil pressure stayed pretty low on the temp gauge. He started and stopped it. No mildew anywhere in the cabin, so no windows are leaking, which I was worried about. I love how it has a shower off the swim deck too. Next weekend going for lake trail.
I'm not digging that vacuu flush either, it sounds like it will start to smell after a while because it's just holding it like an out house does and not moving it to a holding tank somewhere.

what the minimum depth to run these boats in?
