I have not been able to stop looking at the Phantom since you posted the first video. I am now undecided if I want the 2 or vision plus with the gimble. Do you have a gopro on your 2 or do you have the vision? I want to have FPV with it, not sure you can do that without messing around with more extenders for gopro etc... Pretty awesome!!!!

Hello sdieo2. I have a GoPro 3 on my Phantom 2 with the Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal. Since I already had a GoPro I decided not to get the vision. FPV would be a great addition. I've seen some FPV for the Phantom 2 with GoPro. Perhaps a future enhancement.

A couple of things to mention. I haven't tried the auto return home feature. It's suppose to return to the initial liftoff point when it loses contact with the controller. Actually I think if hovers above the home spot. Nonetheless I need to test this out so when it actually happens I know what to expect.

Second, is a problem with the gimbal. The cable that attaches to the camera is very delicate. You actually get a spare in the package for the gimbal. I've already broken it. So I am using the spare. Other than that, I was flying it right out of the box.

It has more advanced controls that I want to play around with but haven't had time yet. I plan to use to winter to become a power user.

FPV is now illegal thanks to the FAA. (short sighted bureaucrats who make knee jerk reactions.)

Why would it be illegal.. What is the concern? I am also considering a DJI Phamtom as a winter toy, but now I have pause.
