I posted earlier with a prop question and now I have another for you guys.
I have an 02 200 BR with a 5.0 MPI engine. When throttling up, I hear a distinctive whistle at around 1800 rpm which becomes a whine and then goes away around 2000 rpm. Is this normal for the 5.0 MPI engine?
I ask because I am also hearing some rumbling noise that I believe to be the gimbal needing attention and I want to make certain the whistle/whine isn't also the gimbal.
I did grease the gimbal bearing and notice a change in the pitch of the grumbling but not the whistle/whine.
