Im not necessarily a Tiger fan, I root for Phil and Henrik Stenson. But I think history is going to mark Tiger as one of golf's legends and its pretty neat to see it happen, not just read about it like Bobby Jones and Sam Snead. I didnt get to watch Arnie or Jack in their prime and I sure wish I could've.

The Augusta crowd sure loved it!

Epic... You have to respect what tiger came back from... I saw him play at the Masters a number of years ago ... It is incredible to watch him..

I enjoyed watching... one of the closest Sundays at the Masters that I can remember!

Congratulations Tiger!

From ESPN:

"On Tuesday, a bettor at a William Hill U.S. sportsbook at SLS Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada placed an $85,000 bet on Woods to win at 14-1 odds. It was the first bet ever placed by the customer at William Hill and will pay out $1.19 million, the largest single golf ticket in the company’s history in the U.S."

Tiger's father really pushed him hard at a young age and as a result he never really had a "normal" childhood. Most likely it caused some of health issues that he has had to overcome and maybe some of his behavioral issues as well. When he became successful you can only imagine the "gold diggers" that were throwing themselves at him which is hard to resist. In any event he absolutely elevated the game of golf to what you see today and has made a lot of people in the world of golf a lot of money including todays players. That is why he is popular with the golfers as well as the fans.

I am not really a Tiger fan per se, but I am happy for him to complete the comeback. The grass is always greener over the septic tank, er, on the other side of the fence. It is easy to criticize Tiger and some of it he deserves but his life is not a glamorous as it may seem to us. He was once married to a world famous model and that sounds like a dream come true, until one contemplates the life he actually lead.

He traveled the world practicing and playing golf on a schedule made for our amusement. He spent weeks and months on the road, much of it alone just to play the game. He racked his body to play and that was a big part of the fall. I'm not excusing his behavior nor suggesting sympathy but just to recognize the life of major sports stars is not what what nit is all cracked up to be on ESPN...
