Looks like the New fuel Pump I put in siezed and spun the crank on the waterpump assembly so the little round bit that pumps causes the the fuel pump to pump is dead (free spinning), guessing cause there was no oil in there. since I was too stupid to replace the gear oil, and now have a $$$ repair, wanted to see if anyone had replaced thier manual fuel pump with an electric? and if so what part number did you use.

Tom,
did the fuel pump just stop working? Is it for sure the pump? Here is why I say that. I thought I would have to replace the High Pressure Fuel Pump and either replace or fix the Vapor Separator Tank (VST). My issue was the boat didn't idle or keep a smooth RPM and every time I tried to get on plane (3000+RPM) the engine would drop to 800/1000rpms and then go back to the high end. It was a pain and very upsetting. Our West Marine guy said to put Star Tron into both tanks. So I did. the problem was still there. Several days later the problem wasn't as bad. Last Saturday I went down to maybe remove and clean the VST but said, no as I don't really have that skill set. So I started the engines and ran them at different intervals for several minutes. All the way up to 3200RPMs. No problems. Sunday I took her out for a spin. Took here up to 3200 and then 3400 and then 3600. Not one issue. You may want to try Star Tron first.
Just my thoughts and experince.
where on the Hudson River. I used to live at West Point for a few years. Born in Westchester county and grewup in Delaware county.

I had a similar situation where gasoline leaked from the fuel pump into the water pump casing. The bearings went and the water pump blew out into the bilge. I had to replace both. Unfortunately, I had to pay expedited shipping since I was on a cruise and wanted to get on with my trip. It was relatively easy to replace the water and fuel pumps. As a result, I also replaced the good fuel pump on the other engine when I back home. I also purchased spare water & fuel pumps.
I sold the boat and now have these spares ( and other items) for sale here on CSR. Sea Ray Spare Parts and Maintenance (General Parts Classified). All parts are for sale at a price less than the water pump alone.

It definetley was the fuel pump, the pump is siezed, and cant be toggled, the arm which goes into the housing, is actually worn through by the movement of the slip ring on the cam. I am not fully sure that the waterpump housing is fully bad, I thought the slip ring was the cam, but upon looking at schematics it seems that the slip ring goes over cam.
I ordered an airtex pump ($40) vs the $200 mercruiser part
gonna try it on bench to see if it still moves the fuel pump when i rotate the pully.
I Filled the Cavity with gear oil to see if the seals are ok or not, checking for leaks while turning pully
while it is out, I am replacing waterpump plastic housing wear ring and impellor
