VERONA NY : State Police responded to an accident at the Fox Road train crossing in Verona at 2 p.m. after a man and a woman were struck by a moving train.

The incident is still being investigated by State Police. Public Information Officer Jack Keller said that the two were standing on the tracks when they were struck by the train. Keller could not provide names as the victims’ families have yet to be informed. No one else was injured during the incident.

An update will follow after State Police release an official statement.

People commit suicide in these what appear as strange ways but look like accidents that way they are categorized as accidents and life insurance still pays. Years ago in the Midwest when lots of little farms were getting lost to the banks there was a rash what appeared to be farming accidents done for the very same reason.

If you are talking to me, I didn't specify Downs Syndrome. The video talks about Downs as well as other disorders. I was attempting to point out it is inappropriate to use the word "retard" to describe people or situations. Inappropriate use of the word makes it seem that these guys are of lesser value than the anyone else. In my world the people with Downs, Autism, etc have enriched mine and my children's lives. There is a lot to learn from these folks.

I'm guessing that if Summer Fun was on the TV show, "What Would You Do?" and someone was making fun of a mentally disabled person, he would need to be restrained by the TV show security so the actor would not lose a few teeth. Just guessing.
