I heard a rumor that the lake level in Grand Haven is up 2" from last fall. Pretty surprising (to me anyway) since we had almost no ice cover this winter.

I'm hoping for a nice, warm, dry, early spring!

I'm sure the leavel will go down by June or July. Would be nice to get our beaches back after the high leavel the past couple years.

According to the US Corps of Engneers Lake Michigan is up 5" compared to the average for March 19, 2015. It is up 2" in the past 30 days. The Corps says it is expected to rise 5" in the next 30 days. Google Lake Michigan Weekly Water Levels to see a weekly report updated each Friday. We can really see the increases on our pilings this year and may need to add a dock step.

We have all floating piers and to exit enter the docks from the head wall we travel a split ramp. Late last year the top ramp topped out and we actually walked up to go down.
First time in a long time they removed the ramps for winter. The big blow last week caused fluctuation of 1-2 per day.

It starts to fall into the "be careful what you wish for" category. I'd like the levels to stay right where they are now. We had 2 seiche events in Western Lake Erie last summer. Docks were underwater, shorelines flooded and tons of debris entered the lake.
