- Twin 170HP Mercruser Inboard Engines
Hi,
Still new to this and am away from my Searay Sundancer 29 (1992).
I've been told that the anodes on my twin MerCruiser engineers need replacing.
Would anyone know which twin engines came with the 1992 Sundancer.
I see anode sets online for Mercury Alpha 1, Alpha 1 Gen 2 , Bravo 2/3 etc.
I could do with some one telling me what anode sets to buy (Sea Water).
Here in the UK someone has just quoted £265 ($345) to buy and replace them for me. Seems a little high, but I'm new to this so don't know for sure.
Sets online look to average £55 to £75 each which suggested that the manual cost to replace them is coming in anywhere between £155 to £115.
Is it hard or time consuming to do the job myself, will I need special tools etc.
Many thanks,
Indy
