On my 2006 240 Sundeck, I have been unable to make the Smartcraft display stay on Depth Finder...I can toggle the display to it from the steering control, but when we are under way it constantly switches out of that display and gives me the trim setting (which bounces around like crazy when underway)...
This is very annoying since we are often cruising where there can be sudden changes to very shallow, and except for the Depth Warning that set going off, I have no way to tell if it is getting shallower. I have tried to constantly keep pushing the steering control button to toggle to the depth, but it is often over-ridden by the trim setting, so I am constantly having to start over...plus I don't like having to keep looking down at the control panal toggling through all of the other displays to get back to the depth...
Honestly, I have tried to read the manual, and it is very difficult to follow to me...
