John, I'm looking for a slip for my 87 30' Sundancer. I wish I could fit in yours. Please keep me in mind if you hear of anything at AYC that can accomodate me.
I might even be looking to rent a winter spot on land at AYC this year. Let me know if you don't sell your slip and you are interested in renting your rights to the winter storage.

John,
thanks for your interest.Your boat will fit in my slip. The deed says 10-8 but the poles measure 11-6.I currently have my 88 30 searay [11 foot beam]in the slip. Its a little tight, but fits with no problem.Let me know if you would like to meet down there and I can show it to you.The only reason I am selling the slip is I am in need of money.

Thanks,
John

John,
I'm going to try to get down there later in the week to take a look at it. Is G dock the one without the electric meters? Or, is it the one closer to the contractor's building? How many sets of poles do you have? I've noticed that some of the larger boats have an extra set of poles to make docking easier, particularly in tight spots.
John

G dock is on the east of the marina. It is by the baseball fields.there is no meters on the dock, you pay $35 a year for electric which is a great deal if you hang out down there with the A/C on alot like I do.I have 2 poles on one side and 1 on the other.Docking is easy, there is lots of space because the slip is across from where the floating docks start so the the marina really opens up almost directly across from the slip. You should have no issue docking especially with twins.Go look at it and let me know if you have any questions.

I'll be tied up until Thursday or Friday, but I'll get down there later in the week and let you know.
You mentioned that the deed says 10'8". I know that the deed represents the amount of bulkhead space that you have. I've found that because of the width of the poles you usually have a foot or so less useable space than the deed says at AYC, but you said you have 11'6" useable. Is this a mistake on the deed, a typo, or just a really nice neighbor who gave you a little extra room?

Ok,no problem.when you go look, let me know what you think.I think they usually put the poles a little bigger then the deed so there are no mistakes.my boat has 11 ffot beam and fits in the slip with no problem.
