Hi
Unfortunately I lost my plow anchor and chain this weekend while anchored in some heavy winds so I am reaching out to the veterans here at club sea ray on anchor, chain and rode recomendations for 38 sundancer

Thanks in Advance

Your OEM anchor is a Kodiak and you can only buy them (as far as I know) from South Coast Marine. 727-573-4821 and Marcia will help you. Very good price for these as they manufacture these and sell to Sea Ray directly. This is the only item they can sell direct to the public.

What failed? What should others check?

I swear by the Delta Fastset. Works great in my area - sand, clay, cuts through weeds. Has never let go in my seven years of use across two boats.

I've never seen an anchor lost due to wind though and I've seen some pretty good blows. Did you have the shackle bolt wired to prevent it from coming loose, or did something fail?

The problem is with some of e anchor rollers a Delta does not lay in the rollers correctly. I bought a Delta for my 410 and it didn't fit right so I found where the Kodiak was sold. The Kodiak is the same plow type anchor but it has a different angle and the shank stuck up too far with the Delta.
