Anchor Locker Hatch 1986 30' WE

My hatch has been retrofitted, and there is no latch, which allows water to come in. Does anyone know if they are still available? I saw one on another WE and it looked to be fiberglass, same color and pebble texture as surrounding deck with a knob to latch tight.

I'm guessing it will be difficult to find one unless it's a salvage situation; I've run into that situation on my '89 DA.

Pics might help; there are several threads about how people have restored weak or otherwise inadequate covers, and someone might have a suggestion on updates to the weather sealing, etc.

Also, have you perused the Official 1980s Weekender/Sundancer 300 Thread? It's LONG, but full of great details for taking care of classics like ours. A keyword search might turn up mention of hatch replacement parts or ideas of how to modify/update what you have.

you could probably make one from starboard.will work and probably match the deck relatively good.either that or try to find a salvage boat

let me know what you find. the PO of my boat made one out of something. probably didn't look too bad when he did it but it is getting bad so looking for something to replace it with
