Ok, need some help from you all. What is the best anchor for Lake Michigan. I was thinking all along of just getting the Dansforth, however after much reading, sounds like the Delta style is best in many situations. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I did an internet search and found this (22lb) for $142. printed it and took it to WM and save $60

It may be best to see what your bow roller is and make sure the anchor fits that. I have the Delta Style but I also have the newer style anchor roller that fits the bow bling nicely.

We use Rocna anchor(made in USA) check out videos at rocna.com. Amazing holding power...our Dancer was in middle of two boats, an early nineties 310 and a 340 which also had a danforth out. A squall hit us, the wind shifted 90 degrees almost instantly to 60mph. The Rocna bit within a few feet and held 3 boats for 20 minutes until squall passed...the danforth was underneath us...It also bit quickly in a very weedy bottom.Seems to work extremely well in all types of bottoms. All of our boating is done on Lake Huron/Georgian Bay and North Channel.

If you have no weeds to deal with, then go with either as they both work very well in sand. If you'll be hooking into weeds, then get the plow. Don't forget some chain and to let out plenty of rode to attain the proper scope for the conditions.

Thanks everyone.. and good point about the roller. Good news is, buying a new one with the anchor itself, so Im confident they will sell me one that fits both! Looks awesome btw... do i get stainless steel like that or or delta galvanized steel? that looks almost too sharpe to pass!
