Picked up used 08 sundancer 310.
Currently has 2 JL mx650 60W in cockpit fwd stock locations.
2 JL 60W tower speakers.
1 JL 175 W sub right under the stbd fwd cockpit speaker.
Want to add 2 more cockpit speakers mainly for looks in arch.

I want the cockpit zoned separate from the tower so I can have good volume while on the lily pad without overpowering the cockpit. my head has zone control so thats no problem.

Im gonna add another sub so I can complete the 2 zones.
Not sure about amps. considering jl m800 75wx8 4 ohm or 100wx8 2 ohm.
Should I power the speakers at 75w or 50w?
Is sub ok next to speaker?
2nd sub will probably go port side lounge facing rear.

How does it sound now? I wouldn't put a speaker next to a sub. The amp you mention would work well. MX speakers work good at either wattage. 75 if you use m's.

Is sub ok next to speaker?
Sure, as long as the woofer is in a small sealed or ported enclosure so its not sharing the same air space.

Jl is a quality brand, I would certainly enlist the assistance of your JL retailer in the fine details of the setup.

The JL tech said it was ok as long as the space behind was large volume.

Heres a cool experiment. Unplug the speaker thats next and sharing the same air space as the woofer, play a heavy bass song with some good volume. lightly touch the speaker's mid-bass cone and feel it reacting to the woofer. Its acting as a passive radiator.
