Amp mount location for 205 Sport

You can easily fit and conceal a Bazooka 8-inch bass-reflex subwoofer tube plus an external amplifier on the port side.

For something larger, like a 10-inch sub, I would go to the starboard side.

Also, Sony, Clarion, Kenwood, Excelon and Alpine, all have source units (some marine, some automotive) under $200 that will facilitate hardwired or radio frequency remote controls. All have triple preouts (Excelon is 4 volts), have iPod provisions and are well featured.

Yeah, agree to the 10" or larger going starboard side. Doesn't fit easily, but I was able to mount my 12" wet sounds under there with 1.4ft^3 of volume inside. Hits hard!! I will post pictures of that too when i go back in there to add more brackets for support. Off on vacation for a couple weeks though.

Did you have to ground your amp all the way to the battery or were you able to find a closer spot? I just purchased a new Sony deck w/ wired remote and want to purchase the amp wiring kit next just not sure if the 4' ground cable is going to be long enough.

Yes. 4awg pos & neg to amp with 100Amp fuse. No where to attach to besides battery at that size wire.

Where'd you buy your power and ground cable? I'm looking online and ebay has some decent prices but I don't want to purchase the "kits" just cable by the foot really.
