Amazing Youtube video of a tough SeaRay

OMG!

I'm shaking after just watching that video.

Hats off the the courageous captain and first mate, I sure hope they made it to safe harbor.

Wow,

That is one crazy video.

I would do what ever I could to save Aftica too.

That was crazy! The guy did one heck of a job getting that boat out of there.

Poor guy. Poor boat. I felt huge sigh of relief when he got his motors started and powered away from the bridge.

But let's all say it together, "that's what insurance is for."

Now THAT is a skipper who knew his boat, knew what it was capable of, and knew how to get it to do what he wanted it to do.

My hat is off to him.

Wow.......that would get the adrenaline moving......that was a heck of a helpful community, also.....good ending, I think..

I thought that was discussed on here or another site about that not being the owner and wanting to keep the boat as it was in peril or something, Not sure whatever happened to that deal.

I've heard of stuffing the bow but at about the 5:57 mark he was stuffing the swim platform
:wow:

I started to wonder about that when it seemed to take forever after they boarded to start the engines. I'd be willing to bet that if any member here needed to start their own boat in an emergency, it would happen a whole lot faster than it did in the video...

Maybe he was running the blower. :smt001

If memory serves me right (Which it does not all do any more(grin)) it was on here a couple years ago we were talking about it not being his boat.

Maybe it's just me, but what captain leaves his boat on a mooring during hurricane? If you have no other options, at least drop couple of anchors with Loooooong scope. Prevention is the best way to fix most problems.

It looks like they didn't have the keys, at one point someone, probably the owner on the bridge hands the key down to One of the people on the boat and that's when they get the engines started.

I was looking at all the lines hanging from the front. Amazing that they did not foul the props. Great save but the gel coat will need some attention.

Thank you!!!

I posted that video a few years ago when I was Wayne's World. :smt001
