AM Radio Static

I have a Clarion CMD4 AM-FM CD player. I get a lot of static when I am listening to AM radio. I have got to tune into 1120 am so I can listen to the World Champion ST. Louis Cardinal baseball games. The static is unbearable. Please help. GO CARDS

I have the clarion unit. Sea ray just has the antenna loose in the wire bundle behind the panel. I pulled it out from behind the panel and can orient it to pich up the always hopeful for a championship Reds. But I like boating to the stadium, floating on the Ohio, and listening on the radio.

Hi Chief, I am messing with my antenna this weekend for the same reason, but making a radio change to a new radio. Using the old antenna until proven that its junk. We too are in Cincinnati, we are heading up Friday night to the Reds, anchoring out. Fireworks Friday after the game! If you see a 89 340 Bridge sitting out there stop in, the house is aways open, Located at Manhattan. Oh yes, I have the noise Capacitors ( Filters) on the alternators to cancel out the noise, Sea Ray used them in the 80's.
