Am I the Northernmost victim of Hurricane Ike?

I'm on Lake Champlain, about 7 miles South of the 45th parrallel and Sunday night my '89 220CC got washed off the lift and onto the rocks. The remnants of Ike brought 65mph (much higher that forecasted) West winds and there were 5' and 6' waved coming acrossed the lake.

Fortunately I DO have insureance, unfortunately it looks like I'm underinsured. I only had $5000 on my policy and from what these are listed online for, I should have had it covered for at least $10,000. We'll see how it goes with the adjuster. Although I haven't gotten an estimate yet, with all the holes and chewed up chines, the hull repair would likely cost more than the boat is worth.

I do have a couple questions maybe someone can comment on:

-If the ins company does 'Total' the boat should I try to buy it back (to sell it for parts)?
-----the engine seems unscathed-although the lower unit should probably be
replaced
-----the interior is in excellent condition, snap in carpet, very good upholstery

Is it possible to get more for damaged property then you insured it for?
-----Is $5,000 the most I can expect or b/c they do sell for more could I get more
than that, I have a feeling I know the answer-I'm screwed

I know this is small potatoes to most of what I see discussed here, but man what a waste of a good little boat.

The good news is we are going to look at an 01 245 WE next Friday, I love boat shopping!
