Am I addicted?

My wife is yelling at me to come to bed, I said I would be there in five minutes. She walked in to the kitchen to get some water and saw me on this forum and about fell over. She says I'm addicted! :huh: Maybe I'm in denial, but I enjoy it! :grin: Anyone else in this boat?

Yeah, this is a great place, great people, and a wealth of info, BUT, I'd rather be on my boat. :thumbsup: Looks like July 4th is going to be a wash-out where I live. :smt013

I'm with you! Got home late last night from a weekend on the lake. Unhitched the boat, unloaded the truck and was dead tired. However, I was up past midnight catching up on the latest posts.

Yuppers! I'm hooked. I love boating and I like talking with other boaters about our rigs, problems, hook ups, workarounds, places to go and things to see, things to buy that actually work, things to avoid a scams or great ideas badly executed. CSR rocks!

In many ways, CSR is better than a yacht club.

And yes, the Admiral is giving me a lot of flack about the time I spend "talking to these people on the internet" I got a major dose of that flack just last night to be factual...

Oh well, what can she expect from a guy that will spend more on his boat than he did to buy his house ... my priorities are quite clear!

My wife has uttered a couple of times....something similar....I get her back when she sits down at the puter to "post" on her "Mother's of twins forum" and then remind her that CSR is the same thing.


BTW: it's a bad idea to bring up good points when shes at the helm, wait until your in trouble or on the forum too much....to say it

actually thank god i got rid of my smart phone.. or i would not only be able to recieve the email message but id be able to log on to the fourms and respond.... i hated that phone... windows on a phone is not good.. lol

Must agree. Down at the shore, I am too cheap to have cable or internet access. And I can't steal internet access from anyone either (I have tried) :smt009

People have made fun of me for not springing for the Comcast bill. . .but honestly we don't even have time to watch rented movies when down at the shore.

Yes, I am addicted, but I learn a tremendous amount here.

Back when I was addicted to flight simulators, I would fill out flight plans with nav aids, headings, altitudes, descent profiles, fuel load and all that. I had a sign on the computer room door: "Not tonight dear, I have to fly".

Never thought about it before. But we have very nice simulators where I can fly into SeaTac, approach from the north or south, with nice scenery. But I can't simulate taking my 'new' 50 foot yacht for a cruise in the San Juan Islands with realistic waters and scenery. Or if I can, I don't know about it, and please don't tell me! :grin:
