Aluminum Props Problem

Last week I had our Bravo II outdrive serviced to make sure everything was in good working order. Then on Monday July 3rd, about 25% of one aluminum prop blade broke off clean in the water. We inspected is early Tuesday and found the prop had been repaired before and there was obvious a good weld on each end of the broken piece, but corrosion across the rest of the weld.

Has anyone ever experienced this and should you throw away the prop and buy new?
