I stopped by a prop place at first to have them help me with a stuck lugnut on my trailer wheel, but then the guy showed me that my prop needed work. 2 of the 3 fins were bent a bit and it was chipped on the edges. I agreed to have him refurb it for $45. Picked it up today and it looks brand new.

How much do you guys usually pay for this kind of work? $45 seems like a great value to me!

Prices to referb props are all over the place. There are some shops that don't actually do it in house but ship it off and the extra in UPS charges make up the difference. A local shop is usually a good value. I had a set of B3 props balanced and cupped and it cost me $150 for both from a place in Opelika Ala. There is also a really good place over in Destin Fla that balances props.

Ah ok. I'm pretty sure this guy did them there. He walked me through the whole process welding on more metal and filing down after bending to the correct form, then balancing and repainting.
