Alpha1 Gen 2 impeller kit gasket question

I just bought a alpha1 gen2 impeller kit and it now comes with a metal gasket that goes under the plate that the impeller spins on. My old one had a rubber gasket and the directions say that it has been changed to the metal type. Doesn't make sense to me. So I bought a rubber gasket too. My question is can someone reassure me that the metal is ok or should I use the rubber one? Thank you very much,

I have use the metal gasket for years with out a problem. There should be a paper gasket that goes on both sides of the metal plate in the kit. Just make sure that they are facing the right way when you install them, so not to block off part of the ports.

I only got:
New metal plate that impeller rests on
New metal gasket (in question)
New fiber gasket that has bead of silicone around center of gasket.
Looks like they want me to put bare metal plate under the main plate. Found a thread on this forum that member installed it as directed in kit. So I guess I'll install it that way unless I hear something otherwise.
