alpha speedo inlet

I have a 1995 sea ray 175 with a alpha 3.0 liter engine
Where is the speedo inlet on the lower unit ?
There is a small hole in lower unit for water
to come in and I do not know where to look

Is your speedo a mercruiser part (display)? Most speedos on boats your size use a seperate pitot tube that is mounted to your transom.

Here is a diagram for your outdrive but I don't see a pickup.

I have a tube coming from my speedo going to my lower
unit right in front of the shift shaft.
The picture does not show the speedo tube
