Anybody make my mistake? After replacing a battery and NOT paying attention, I reversed the polarity and fried my battery, after the new battery of course my alternator was toast as well, fixing that seemed to resolve the problem, not using the boat for a month I go to find the battery dead once again, now not trusting it I feel like I'm chasing something I'll never catch, does anybody have any idea's on what would cause the drain on the battery again???, I'll try anything to catch it...Thanks for your help!

Could be a lot of things. It might be easier to get a battery switch so that you can disconnect the battery when you leave. Is the boat in the open where it could take on water and make the bilge pump run?

Yes, I'm taking it out today, I've thought about the battery switch, but I've never had that problem before, and I was thinking the switch would be like putting a bandaid on a cut artery

get an ampmeter.. then start from the battery and see what drains it.. one asy way without needing to undo heaps of wires it, by disconnecting the 1ve terminal from battery, then connect the ampmeter on the battery and disconnected line.. i am assuming you will see a current draw.. now start removing fuses.. soon you will find the offender. BE WARNED do not try and start the engine at this point, or your ampmeter will be fried.

you have a blown starter fuse located between your starter and your main battery cable it is 2 in long white in color it controls 12 volt going to dash you will need a fuse 1\2 wrench, and 5\8 wrench

Stereo memory and bilge pumps are connected "hot" all the time.
