Hello all. I am new to the forum and was surprised that there were not any 360 sundancer owners that I could find. Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the 360 sundancer.

Matt -

Welcome. There are a couple 360's on here but not many. I recognize your boat - I knew the previous owner. I boat on the Alton Pool as well.

Welcome. There are a few boaters from the Alton Pool here.

Matt...welcome...I boat on Table Rock. Did you buy your boat off of Boatcrazy last year? If so I remember seeing that boat listed....awesome looking boat.

Thanks for welcoming me. Yes I purchased the boat local from the previous owner. I beleive it was on boat crazy as well. It has been a very good boat so far. Sad to hear only a couple of 360's on board. Good to hear from some of the locals. Hope spring comes soon to get back on the river especially since the season was cut so short.

Welcome...I bought a 220 sundancer some years back from a guy in Alton.

Heyyyyyyy!!!

Here I am.

Very nice 360 you got there!!
I think the blue hull, is very nice looking on a 360.
You could read some opinions from others, why there are not many 360's in the US.
The new 380DA has the same sizes....

Tell me, did you made some customizations?

Peter.

Matt,
Welcome. My Opinion about your 360 is that it looks like a nice boat.

I was thinking the same thing though if you have spent anytime on the upper James River you are use to seeing brown water. I got to the point where I would not buy bathing suits with white in them as they quickly turned brown.

At our new marina I was walking the docks and could actually see trim tabs and outdrives in the water...I was shocked!

Water is definitely brown. We have had two major floods in the area this year that has shorten the boating season. There are times where the water is "less" brown (LOL) but for the most part its mud brown. Just dont drink it! Always remember that the river will take you to better waters.:smt001

Hey Peter, good to see a 360. Yours looks really good are you the original owner? I did not do any customizations, yet! I have been considering how to mount an LCD TV in the cockpit area near the ice bucket. How about yourself? I noticed that you had a dinghy on yours. What size did you get and how much space are you left with to board your boat? I had been considering one but most would take all the swim platform.

Hey Matt welcome to the 360 club:smt038 My 360 is a 2002 I bought it in March of this year and so far love it ..

The few things I have done so far was install all new canvas alone with Taylor made Fastback camper..The Fastback really opens up the back... lots lots more room!!!

As far as the dinghy goes we have 9' foot with a 10 hp with the Hurley Davits system... really works well for us, leaves plenty of room for getting on and off the boat... Todd

No I am the second owner, but bought my 360 with 160 hours on her 3 years ago.
Now she has 580 hours on the clock's.
I made my "own" "Dinghy Davit"
My Dinghy is 10ft.

here are some pic's

I also have the idea to mount a LCD in the cockpit..
Still looking for a good sun light viewable LCD, and where to mount it.

Todd,

I checked out the fastback camper and the modification seemed a little intimidating from the installation instructions. Can you tell me about your experience installing it. Also what color did you choose?

One last thing. Do you have any other pictures of your boat with your dinghy on the back so I can tell how the davit system mounted on your boat? Thanks. Matt

Peter,

Below is a cut from another thread.

This TV is attached to a pole by 4 bolts. This 1" diameter hollow stainless pole has slots cut across the bottom in three places. Behind the helm seat on top of the area behind the rear facing seats is a socket like you see for the flag poles except this socket has a rod across the bottom thru the center of the socket. The pole slides into the socket and the slots slide over the rod, this provides a tight fit that won't allow the TV to turn. The reason for 3 slots is to allow different viewing angles. This scheme works well, even in moderate seas and is easy to setup take down.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Today while setting up the cockpit DTV for the Gator Bulldog game I realized this DTV is actually a HDTV (Sharp LC-19DV22U). The local channel 10 broadcast in HD and I was able to get the HD signal. The picture is really good, much better than the other (3) DTVs which are not HD compatible (One LC20S7U Two LC-15SH7U). Also this TV has a built in DVD player.

For anyone considering a cockpit TV this Sharp LC-19DV22U works well and is bright enough to view in sunlight.

Peter,

I should explain that the pole is welded to a X shaped plate that spans out about 5". At the corners of the X is where the bolts attach to the TV. On the bottow end of the pole is a plastic cylinder that slips over the pole end to protect the end and things from getting scratched.

My davit system looks just like Peters and works great:grin:

As far as the Fastback goes took me about 3 hours to put on..alot of the time is adjusting it to fit no big deal though, if you do decide to buy one just pm me and I will give you some tips!! The color we went with was Captains Navy just like on your 360

Ya the Fastback looked like you needed to take your time and make the adjustments as you go. It is very tempting because it takes advantage of the larger cockpit space over the conventional campus cover. With the campus cover you cant utilize the aft bench seat.
