Too bad it was parked at the house, got the oil changed, fuel filter, plugs changed and figured out I need a battery switch. Shout out to my local dealer who did the maintenance for me last time, from the manual" do not over tighten the filter or it can be very difficult to remove", it shouldn't take almost a full turn with a vice grip chain grabber.I was pulling so hard it hurt my shoulder to get that white oil filter off.
Even though it took forever and I figured out I need a new switch 5 minutes after all the parts stores closed, it was a great day..... I was on the boat.

Just a note for the future. It's better to change the oil and filter in the fall before you put the boat away for the winter. That goes for drive oil as well.

You've made a great point, for us boaters, it's the best way to spend the day. It doesn't matter what we're doing as long as it's on the boat. Yesterday I worked non stop other than a quick coffee break and lunch, to compound the boat. The guy next to me was on his back, on asphalt, scraping under his engines, for 3 hours. He finally stopped, got up and declared how satisfying that was. We agreed a non-boater wouldn't comprehend the elation we get from such mundane, back-breaking, muscle stretching tasks!!!
