Sure looks like a 70's era Sea Ray. Does it have a Hull Identification Number? If it was made after 1972 it should. You will find it on the outside of the transom in the upper right corner. Should be a 12 digit number starting with SER. The last two digits are the model year. Nice looking boat. Same color as mine but not as faded as mine. See HIN 101 https://newboatbuilders.com/boating/HIN101.html It should also be on any paperwork you got with the boat.
Yes it has a plate but unfortunately it is worn. I have re registered the boat I was looking thru sea ray and found a 1970 brochure that had the 150:) unfortunately it does not have any other information looking for an original layout trying to restore it and would like to get a sun shad and new windscreen for it as this one has seen better days (pics included)

My other suggestion would be to contact Sea Ray Customer Service and ask about it.

I tried to enhance the plate unfortunately I have no idea what these numbers indicate in order to reference any help would be great thanks

That is the old Boating Industry Association plate. After 1972 the Coast Guard specified a different plate.

the number to the Left is DOT11304. That suggests to me this is a Canadian boat. US boats never had a DOT number on them. Next is a 55 (probably the HP rating). Then it says Traveler. I can't make out the numbers after that.
The numbers on the bottom are 1550 (maybe a capacity rating) and of course SRV 150

Thanks for the interpretation for sure!! Hmm it has a mercury 1975 65hp on it hopefully that’s not a problem!!

It is a Canadian boat(I am in Canada)

Then the 55 is not the HP rating unless it's Kilowatts. That would be 73 HP Can't be sure. But you can calculate it your self. The formula is centerline length X maximum transom width X 2 and subtract 90 That'll give you the HP which you can round to the next multiple of 5. Then convert HP to KW. The Canadian rules for HP are the same as the US, just in KWs.

So if the length is 14.6 centre and 63 “ width do I convert the transom to get as well?

Use feet 14.6 X 5.25 = 76.65
76.65 x 2 = 153.3
-90 = 63.3
Rounded up = 65.

You're good to go.

Back when I was working in the US Coast Guard Office of Boating Safety I used to talk to the people in the Canadian Coast Guard Office of Boating Safety on a regular basis. I even got to practice my rather fractured french. We had a Mutual Recognition Agreement. I hope it's still current and that the current relationship hasn't screwed it. Anyway, most boats made in Canada are sold in the US and a heck of a lot of boats made in the US are sold in Canada, so the rules have to be the same.

Well I appreciate all the help hopefully I can find some more information. From what I can tell this model was only made in 1970 so I won’t hold my breath lol

Just purchased a 1974 SRV 300. Would love to get my hands on the brochure and owners manual, paper or PDF.

Looking for a 1970 SRV 240 HT Manual anybody got one?

Thank you. I think your right. There is very little info on these early 70s boats. The brochure helps. My boat is titled as a 1971 but it’s a dead ringer for the boat in the 1970 brochure.
