i have a 2005 390 sundancer. it ia currently docked in fla while i am in california. my neighbor just called and said an alarm is going off. i had him disconnect the 3 CO monitors and the alarm is still going off. any ideas?

i am pretty sure it isnt water in the bilge. this has happened before and it hasnt been a water issue. any other possibilities?

i just had a wild thought on the alarm. is there a smoke alarm on the 390 sundancers and if so, where is it? could that be the alarm indicating new batteries needed?

are you talking about the pump that is located in the shower sump? why does yours go off or is it just a false alarm?

No, the sump pump is located inside the tank at the bottom. The sump "tank" is really like a tray that holds maybe 2-3 gallons. There is a bilge-style pump in the space that only kicks in via a typical float mechanism if/when the sump tank overflows into the chamber around it. The sump high water alarm comes on if the "outside" pump kicks in.

That make sense?

We had something happen like that on another boat.It was the batteries emitting some type of gas and setting off an alarm. They were replaced and all was fine. Also while your away make sure pumps are off.

Good luck

i disconnected the CO alarms and i think that solved the alarm problem. which pumps are you saying i should turn off while i am gone?

Was your first post wrong?

PS: CO alarm going off can mean low battery charge.

Is your boat plugged into shore power with the shore power on, AC panel on and converter /battery charger on?
